GREETINGS, Shelburnites

It is with both great excitement and some sadness to be announcing that The Shelburne Freelancer will no longer be reporting the local Shelburne news and moving forward will be taking advantage of some long time overdue career choices. The Shelburne Freelancer Facebook page, twitter page, website and Youtube Channel will remain accessible to the public for some time, but no local news coverage or reporting will be added henceforth.

After almost five years of building a business out of an idea, I have accomplished what I set out to do, document the wonderful lives of Shelburnites and establish an online relationship that was literally shared all over the world. It is my extreme hope that an entrepreneurial minded Shelburnite will pick up where I left off as I have laid the groundwork, proving Shelburne needs and wants to have an online news source.

I highly recommend that those interested in photos, go to the website and snip away, just give Alex McLellan or the Shelburne Freelancer photo credit.

Finally, I must say that it has been my absolute honour and privilege to meet each and every one of you and I cannot thank you enough for all your support, encouragement, kindness, and grace, allowing me into your lives to cover all the good, the tragedy, the accomplishments and change, so much change.

I am personally still a reporter, I’ll just be concentrating on other projects and products that my small business carries.
